Choose Medic when preserving developed Operators matters more than adding another pure damage role. The class heals, prevents injuries from snowballing, and temporarily improves an ally's offense.
Medic abilities
| Ability | Type | Practical use |
|---|---|---|
| Morale Boost | Ultimate | Gives the Medic and nearby allies Morale, restoring health over multiple turns. Use it where several Operators will remain in range long enough to benefit. |
| Combat Stim | Standard | Grants an ally health plus improved melee and ranged damage for two turns. It is both recovery and offensive setup. |
| Lifesaving Measures | Passive | Improves Medpac healing. |
| First Responder | Passive | Provides a free permanent Medpac without consuming the utility slot; Rally rescue fully heals the rescued ally. |
Heal for the next enemy turn
The lowest-health Operator is not automatically the right target. Ask who will face danger before the squad can respond again.
- Identify the ally most likely to be attacked or required by the objective.
- Check whether movement can remove the danger more efficiently than healing through it.
- Use Combat Stim on an Operator who can exploit both the health and damage window.
- Position Morale Boost around allies who will stay nearby.
- End where the Medic can reach the next emergency without becoming one.
Weapon pairing
EA's guidance does not impose one universal Medic weapon. It recommends choosing a Weapon Class that preserves the position from which the Operator can support the squad.
A Blaster Rifle offers straightforward medium-range participation. A Blaster Pistol can preserve Action Points for movement and abilities. Use the Weapon Class comparison to match the attack economy to your support plan.
Good squad partners
- Heavy: gives the Medic a clear defensive priority and turns healing into more frontline uptime.
- Assault: benefits from recovery after aggressive movement and from Combat Stim's offensive window.
- Sharpshooter: can stay healthy at range while the Medic supports the central group.
- Any developed Operator: injury prevention becomes more valuable as campaign investment grows.
Common mistakes
- Waiting for an ally to be nearly defeated before planning the healing route.
- Using Combat Stim only as a heal and wasting its damage window.
- Clustering the entire squad for Morale Boost when an area attack makes that formation dangerous.
- Moving the Medic to the front because the permanent Medpac feels like personal protection.
The Medic is not a passive emergency button. It is a tempo role: the class keeps an important Operator productive now and protects the company's long-term roster after the mission.
